banana republic jewels

I am not a fan of faux (jewelry that is). I am a firm believer in saving up for special pieces instead of just buying here and there - quality over quantity. My exception is Banana Republic's jewelry. A lot of it is meant to look "real" as you can see by the sparkly earrings in the pic above. The amazing thing about their stuff is that it DOES look real!

About a month ago they had a one day 40% off online-only sale. As people around me knocked each other over trying to buy staples such as khakis and jeans, I was buying up Banana's entire line of jewelry. The pieces above are my favorite from that little haul, but there were many a few other things...

The picture does not do the necklace justice; it is gorgeous. Prior to the discount it was $80, but I got it for around $49 (Free). The sparkly earrings are their Cubic Zirconia Vintage Studs (a customer fave). Normally $24, I got them during the sale for around $14 - I may have cried a little. I also purchase some standard gold hoops.

Next up? Well........

I have seen the Genevieve Earring on several people and they are gorge. At $35, these would be a great purchase for those nights when you want to wear that LBD without feeling dull.

My other "must have" for the summer is the Tribal Mystique Necklace. This looks like a $300 piece in person, but at $69.50 you will not feel guilty wearing it daily with white Cotton tanks and floral dresses.

Love! So come on Banana, have another sale already so I don't have to feel bad about my over spending..
