tarte lash curler, betsey johnson babe tweezers and other gifts for the ladies in your life

There are those that you like, and those that you like, like, a lot. For those that you truly adore, I would suggest one of these fabulous gifts, hand picked by moi (and I am ridiculously somewhat picky):
OMG - Every mascara you have ever wanted to try first
I will be gifting this jewel to me.

Babe Tweezers by Betsey Johnson: $25 - BUT, if you buy them before 11/28 they are 40% off with free shipping (free).
Estée Lauder Royal Moon refillable compact: $49
The gift that keeps on giving. Beautiful and able to be filled time and time again with translucent pressed powder.

Rose, cucumber and jasmine + a fabulous bottle for your dresser!

Support Small Business Saturday - November 27th

Thanks to American Express for sponsoring my writing today about small businesses. American Express is presenting Small Business Saturday, a way to honor the local merchants who are the backbone of the economy, this Saturday, November 27. They're offering statement credits to people who shop at small businesses, advertising for small-business owners, and donations to Girls Inc. for "Likes" of the Small Business Saturday page on Facebook. Join the celebration by clicking the "Like" button and then visiting the Facebook page to learn more about the program and read the terms and conditions that apply.

I was not aware that there was even such a thing as “Small Business Saturday” until last year when a friend of mine who had just purchased a salon informed me about it. This is a holiday that I will most definitely support this holiday season as I shop for Christmas gifts on my favorite site, Etsy. In case you live under a rock or something, Etsy is a website full of artists, crafters and vintage treasure finders, all conveniently located in one place (www.etsy.com).

I love buying items from Etsy for many reasons, but one of the main reasons is due to the fact that a lot of the online shop owners are people who were passionate enough about something that they quite their “real job” and used saved or borrowed money to live out a dream. For some the dream is something that has always been there, but for many I think it is something that they stumbled upon and decided to pursue.

I am not that brave, which is why though I love to embellish things with glitter and acrylic paint, my store has yet to open. My sister on the other hand has opened her own shop recently that stems from her love of all things vintage, from jewelry boxes to pearls.

In need of vintage pearls? You can find them here in The Little Shop of Deja Vu.

Or maybe you need a black satin vintage bag? Whatever you are looking for, you are bound to come across something that you love in her shop, or one of the thousands of others on Etsy.

When shopping for Christmas or holidays gifts this season don't forget to support your local business!
I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective which endorses Blog
With Integrity, as I do.

minnetonka is fine with my desire to look like pocahontas

I have recently developed an obsession with all things boho-chic, meaning that I have been on the prowl for some amazing fringed boots. Recently as I was browsing around on Shoebuy.com I cam across these amazing Pocahontas inspired boots by Minnetonka:

I was barely able to contain my excitement when I found these booties:

I felt a tiny bit of gilt for wanting them both, but then I found a coupon code for 20% off and free shipping through Thanksgiving (OMG). So guilt is gone.

Crisis averted.

who is in need of a feather earring? me.

I have recently become infatuated with all things feather. This tends to happen around Christmas time - New Years Eve to me is just one more reason to wear a feather boa and a tiara (not that I need a reason).

Imagine my excitement when I came across this Etsy store that sells hand-made feather earrings. If you're having a hard time I will assist you:

penguin clothbound classics are a bed-side must

I love beautiful books placed around a home or office, and these books from Penguin are perfect for showing off. The company has re-released classics such as Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights that are covered in gorgeous fabrics. I think that I am going to purchase Great Expectations from Amazon to put on my bedside table...
